As you all know, the Omega Garden Project in Chaloklum has become one of the major attractions in the Koh Phangan music scene. On many occasions more than 100 people have joined in to play and to listen to a wide range of music starting from free jazz over blues, rhythm and blues, to rock and, for sure, because we are in Thailand; Reggae and Ska. The music is played by whoever likes to play and knows to handle an instrument. The musicians I have seen so far in Omega Garden have come from England, Ireland, Spain, Italy, Russia, the Ukraine, Germany, Switzerland, Thailand, Greece, the USA and probably many more countries I can’t even remember. All these musicians bring their music, their songs, their instruments and their great spirit to Omega on Wednesdays to merge with other musicians and enjoy an evening of music, art and fun!
OMEGA GARDEN WILL BE CLOSED ON WEDNESDAY 30th MARCH 2011 – AND WILL BE REOPENING ON 6th APRIL 2011
For many who live in Koh Phangan, the Omega Garden has become their standard Wednesday evening program during the past year. In December 2010, when Marco tried to extend the days of the Omega Garden Project from once a week to 4 days of art & music per week, it was soon clear that Omega was a “Wednesday Thing” and after one month, the project was back to once a week. Now for the first time since the opening party in December 2009, the Omega Garden will stay closed on one Wednesday. On Wednesday the 30th of March 2011 Omega Garden will be closed because Family reasons! Don’t worry though on Wednesday, the 6th of April Omega will be back on track and ready for you all. See you there!
